B.Ed Course Admission 2013-2014

Applications from graduate (preferably with Honours and/or Master degree) candidates in a (10+2+3) pattern (except deputed category) in prescribed forms obtainable from the university sales counter from 25th March, 2013 on payment of Rs 50/- and Rs 25/-(Rs twenty five) for SC/ST/PH students, are invited for admission to the B.Ed course of the academic session 2013-14

Eligibility: Applicants (fresher only), must have bachelor degree and/or master degree examination (with at least 50% marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to general category, 45% marks for physically challenged category and 40% marks for SC/ST categories) of Calcutta University or other recognized university with any two school subjects from the Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Mathematics, History, Geography, Accountancy and Book Keeping, Economics, Education, Political Science, Hindi, Urdu and Arabic

Admission to the said course is based strictly on merit followed by counseling

Age Limit: 40 years for fresher candidates and 45 years for deputed candidates as on 30th June, 2013

There is a relaxation of age for maximum of 5 years for students belonging to SC/ST/PC categories

Reservation of seats for Calcutta University students 95% and for Non-Calcutta University students 5% will be followed

Provisional merit list will be published on 12th June, 2013 after 03.00 p.m. on the notice board of Alipore Campus, Calcutta University

The date of counseling and admission schedule will be announced on the date of publication of the merit list

Names of the selected candidates who will fail to report on 01st July, 2013 and who will remain absent continuously for 15 days without prior information will be automatically struck off

Application Form: Applications complete in all respects along with self-attested copies of certificates and testimonials must be submitted to the Office of the Secretary, UCAC, at Shahid Kshudiram Sikshaprangan, 1, Reformatory Street, (Ground Floor), Kolkata-700027 on or before 12th April, 2013 upto 03.00 p.m. on all working days
