B.A./B.Com-LL.B (Hons) Five Years Integrated Course Entrance Test-2013

Admission form for B.A./B.Com LLB (Hons) 5 year Integrated course) shall be available online on Panjab University website http://uglaw.puchd.ac.in after declaration of result of PU-B.A./B.Com-LLB (Hons) 5 year Integrated Course entrance test

Result card can be downloaded from the Panjab University website

No separate result cards will be issued

The Panjab University will hold entrance test on 19th May, 2013, Sunday in Chandigarh

B.A./B.Com. LL.B (Hons) 5 years Integrated course (University Institute of Legal Studies, P.U., Chandigarh)

B.A.-LL.B (Hons) 5 Years Integrated Course (UIL, Panjab University, Regional Centre, Ludhiana; UILS, Swami Sarvanand Giri, P.U., Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur)

Eligibility Criteria: All those candidates who have passed/appeared (up to the academic session 2012-2013) in the 10+2 examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized board/university/council shall be eligible to appear in the entrance test-2013

The admission of candidates for the entrance test shall be provisional

The candidates who have passed/appeared in 10+2 examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are ineligible to appear in the entrance test, as this institution has been de-recognised by Panjab University, Chandigarh

B.A. LL.B (Hons) 5 years Integrated: Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC) from any recognized board/university

However, the candidates qualifying 10+2 through open universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in the law courses

B.Com-LL.B (Hons) 5 years Integrated: Candidates should have passed 10+2 examination in commerce stream or in Arts stream with Mathematics or Economics subjects with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC) from any recognized board/university

However, the candidates qualifying 10+2 through open universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in the law courses

Age Limit: The candidate must not be above 20 years of age as on the last date fixed for submission of application for entrance test of B.A./B.Com-LL.B (Hons) 5 years Integrated course of the year in which admission is sought in the first semester (22 years in case of SC/ST and other backward communities)

Foreign/PIO/NRI: Candidates desirous of seeking admission against Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/NRI seats to B.A.-LL.B/B.Com- LL.B (Hons) 5 year Integrated course, if present in India at the time of test, will compete amongst themselves by appearing in the entrance test-2013

If not then they shall be admitted on basis of their Scholastic Aptitude Test II (SAT-II)

All such candidates have to comply with the requirements of Govt of India, as well as Panjab University, Chandigarh as prescribed for them from time to time

Entrance Test: The entrance test will be held at Chandigarh only on 19th May, 2013, Sunday

The entrance test shall consist of one paper on Legal and General Awareness

The paper will consist of 100 questions of one mark each

Of these, 60 questions will be for testing general knowledge and current affairs, 20 for testing aptitude for law, 10 for testing mental ability and rest of 10 questions will be for testing proficiency in English language

Total time allocated to this paper will be 90 minutes

The question papers will be available in English, Hindi and Punjabi (except for the portion proficiency in English Language)

However, the medium of instruction for teaching and semester examination will be English only

For every wrong answer ¼ mark allotted to the question will be deducted

Date of availability of prospectus and application form on the website http://uglaw.puchd.ac.in: 13th March, 2013, Wednesday

Last date for submission of information on the website to generate the bank challan: 25th April, 2013, Thursday

Last date for deposit of fee in any branch of State Bank of India using website generated bank challan: 29th April, 2013, Monday upto 04.00 p.m.

Last date for submission of fee details and uploading of photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website: 02nd May, 2013, Thursday

Final date by which roll number will be available online: 09th May, 2013, Thursday

Date of entrance test: 19th May, 2013, Sunday, 02.00 p.m. to 03.30 p.m.

Tentative dates by which the result may be declared: 29th May, 2013 to 31st May, 2013, Wednesday to Friday

Centre for the entrance test: Chandigarh only
