The Indian Maritime University (IMU), estd in November 2008 as a Central University, is a teaching and affiliating university which offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in all disciplines of maritime sector

IMU currently offers various programmes under its Schools through its six established campuses (Chennai, Cochin, Kandla Port, Kolkata, Mumbai, Vizag and its affiliated institutions)

School of Nautical Studies (SNS) (Residential)

Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc Nautical Science

Eligibility: 10+2/equivalent (PCM 60% and English 50%)

B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Electronics (with Physics as individual subject in one of the years) with 55% aggregate

B.E./B.Tech degree with 50% in English
