M.Des/Ph.D Programme Admission-2013

The institute invites applications for admission to Master of Design (M.Des), Doctoral Programme (Ph.D) programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design

M.Des (Master of Design)

Ph.D: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Design

Eligibility Criteria

Master of Design (M.Des): Regular and sponsored

B.Tech/B.E./B.Arch/B.Des/BFA/M.Sc/M.A./MCA with minimum marks/CPI in qualifying degree and valid
GATE/CEED score for regular students

Minimum marks/CPI in qualifying degree for M.Des a minimum of 60% marks or a CPI/CGPA of 6.0 (on the scale of 10.00) shall be required in the qualifying examination (B.Tech/B.Des or equivalent)

Relaxation for reserved category as per Govt of India norms

Ph.D (Regular, Sponsored and External)

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE): M.Tech/M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology or a similar discipline with minimum marks/ CPI in qualifying degree

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE): M.Tech/M.E. in Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline with minimum marks/ CPI in qualifying degree

Mechanical Engineering (ME): M.Tech/M.E. in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Production and Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline with minimum marks/CPI in qualifying degree

Design (DS): M.Des with minimum marks/ CPI in qualifying degree

Minimum percentage of marks in qualifying degree for Ph.D a minimum of 65% marks or a CPI/CGPA of 6.5 (on the scale of 10.00) shall be required at the master's level qualifying examination (M.Tech/ M.Des/ M.Sc etc)

Relaxation for reserved category as per Govt of India norms

Candidates who are on permanent role in NITs, IIITs, Central Universities, Govt Universities, Defence R&D organization, PSUs for at least two years shall be eligible to apply for admission under the category of External Registration Programme

Institute Assistantship: Institute Assistantship is provided to M.Tech, M.Des and Ph.D students as per Govt of India rules

Application Form: The detailed information about on line application for PG admission can be filled from the institute website www.iiitdmj.ac.in from 08th March, 2013

Last date for submission of online application is 22nd March, 2013

Institute will accept only online application forms

Filled up application forms along with a demand draft of Rs 200/- for General/OBC and Rs 100/- for SC/ST category candidates, in favor of the Registrar, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur, issued by any nationalized bank, payable at Jabalpur must be received latest by 29th March, 2013 through speed/ registered post only

Applicants must write the programme and the discipline applied for, on the cover of the envelope

The list of short listed candidates and other announcements regarding admission will be uploaded on Institute's website www.iiitdmj.ac.in
