Eligibility Criteria
For PG Courses: The candidates must have completed bachelor degree in the associated field from a recognized College or University
For UG Courses: For these course candidates must have cleared class 12th or its equivalent examination from a genuine board or University
For PG Diploma Courses: The candidates must have completed master degree in the associated field from a recognized College or University
For Doctoral Courses: The candidates must have completed master degree in the associated field from a recognized College or University. Candidates who have qualified UGC NET exam are also allowed to appear in the test
For Certificate Courses: The candidates must have completed bachelor degree in the associated field from a recognized College or University

Scholarship Details
All the full time scholars admitted to the PhD of the University Departments will be eligible for a monthly fellowship of Rs.8000/- with contingency
Integrated PhD sudents will get a monthly stipend of Rs.1000/- for four semesters and Rs.8000/- p.m. with contingency for the rest of the period as applicable to other PhD
All students of the M.Sc Marine Biology, Disaster Management (Port Blair) and M.Sc Five Year Integrated Programmes will get scholarship
In addition, Merit Scholarships, Merit cum Means Scholarships and Freeships are available to deserving students of PG Degree programmes; fully free education for all differently abled students
How to Apply
Application form is to be submitted online through the University website www.pondiuni.edu.in by following the instructions given therein
Apply separately for each course; fill in all columns with complete and correct information after going through the prospectus; incomplete/false/ wrong information will entail rejection of application
They should however, take a print out of the online application form and forward the same through the respective Head Quarter to "The Assistant Registrar(Academic-Admissions), Pondicherry University R.V. Nagar, Kalapet, Pondicherry-605014"
Application Fee
For each course Rs.250/-, Rs.125/- for SC/ST, Exempted for differently abled candidates - subject to submission of relevant certificates; the application fee for NRI and Overseas student is Rs.1000/-
Reservation
Reservation for OBC/SC/ST, Differently abled and puducherry students will be applicable to the extent indicated in the prospectus

Selection Process
For PG Courses, selection will be based on Entrance Examination
For PhD Courses, admission is based on Entrance Test and Interview
